Homeland Contracting Named One of the Best Places to Work in Virginia
Chesapeake, VA – November 23, 2011: Homeland Contracting Corporation (HCC), a Chesapeake-based commercial and government general contractor, was recently named as one of the 2012 Best Places to Work in Virginia.
This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state's economy, its work force and businesses.
With 35 employees, Homeland Contracting is in the small business category (fewer than 100 employees). This two-part survey consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics , as well as an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The final rankings will be unveiled and published in the February 2012 issue of Virginia Business.
HCC is a woman-owned, 8(a) Small Disadvantaged general contractor specializing in design-build, new construction, interior/exterior renovations, and maritime projects for the commercial, industrial, municipal and government markets. In June 2011, Naval Facilities Command awarded HCC a five-year contract potentially worth as much as $100 Million to perform design/build construction work at various naval installations around the Hampton Roads area. HCC has most recently been named one of Hampton Roads’ “Best Places to Work” in Inside Business Magazine.
